ACPP Diplomate

Requirements of Board Certified Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapist (CCPP)

1. Be a member of ACPP in Good Standing (fees, dues)

2. Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in related field (diploma or transcript)

3. Resume’ and/or Curriculum Vitae

4. Two Case Conferences (template below)

5. Demonstrated mastery of ACPP Standards (see essays below)

6. A 3-5 page autobiographical statement demonstrating one’s spiritual journey, self-awareness, self-reflection, and an integrative understanding of psycho-dynamic and spiritual development.

7. A 1600 hour internship or residency in Clinical Pastoral Education, Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapy, or a related spiritually-integrated psychotherapeutic internship.

8. An additional 200 hour CPP Specific Unit (cohort or experiential internship).

9. Successfully meet a committee that either approves you for CCPP or gives you recommendations and a time to return to the committee.

Diplomates are bestowed the board certification letters of CCPP. Annual Dues are $250 for Diplomates.

Please attach two Clinical Narratives, Verbatims or Case Conferences that demonstrate your competency as a CCPP

Essay 1: Write a 2000-word essay demonstrating your understand of Ethical Standards 1-3 (Professional Competence, Responsibilities to the Client, and Protecting the Privacy and Confidentiality of Clients). Standards and Ethics

Essay 2: Write a 2000 word essay demonstrating the utilization of Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapy for the benefit and well-being of your clients in individual and group settings. Please provide examples of your theory along with case study snippets that demonstrate the use of theory in your practice.

Write a 3-5 page (double-spaced) Autobiographical Statement demonstrating your spiritual journey, self-awareness, self-reflection, and integrative understanding of psycho-dynamic and spiritual development

Please provide a list of programs you have completed which contribute to the 200-hour requirement for Certified Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapist status This can include Cohort and Experiential Fellowship, Residency, Internship, etc. This 200 requirement must be in addition to the 1600 internship. Be sure to include dates, program, length of program, and synchronous or asynchronous.

Additionally, how have you integrated your understanding of psycho-dynamic principles with your spiritual development, offering insights into your holistic growth and transformation?
